I’d like to be on that practice all day, day-after-day. Eternally.

However I do know that’s not attainable. It isn’t reasonable.

We’re much better at planning — over-committing and under-delivering.

Whether or not we wish to full that e-book or we’d wish to lose 25 lbs, we consider our objectives as huge boulders that we have to transfer to the hilltop.

And that’s why we get derailed (pun meant).

In 2024, I’m dedicated to getting extra stuff accomplished than I’ve deliberate for.

And, surprisingly, or quite unsurprisingly, I acquired extra accomplished on this quarter than I anticipated. Or imagined. As a result of I centered on the doing bit.

Not the “I’m planning on doing this” bit.

I acquired invited to the highest 1% of enterprise podcasts. I booked 2 expert-led workshops. I crossed my income goal with Geeks and Specialists. And I wrote some fairly well-received articles in publications. F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!

So, listed below are a number of strategic mindsets I took this quarter to get again into the groove of issues and get extra out of every day/week with out feeling caught.

Extra common, much less fancy

Most of our days are common.

There are solely a handful that deliver exhilarating highs or stooping lows.

So, if most of our lives are made on common days, common ought to really feel good.

Exercising day-after-day or as typically as attainable is nice.

Meal prep is bloody annoying however leaves us feeling good.

Meditation is just not fancy by any means, however once more, it feels so good.

This quarter I centered on the facility of the common, boring stuff. No fancy routines, chilly plunges, or 10-step morning routines. That’s too unique for me!

Don’t complicate your already complicated life. Make it as straightforward as attainable to get the each day stuff accomplished. The steps, the writing, the respiration, the sleeping.
