I was a rattling good copywriter. My job revolved round crafting catchy slogans, impactful product descriptions, and meticulously honed sentences designed to encourage. There was satisfaction in taking one thing peculiar and injecting it with sufficient spark to seize consideration. It was a modest profession, and most significantly, it allowed me to work as a author… at the least till the rug was unceremoniously pulled out from beneath me.

After being made redundant from a full-time advertising place for “causes unknown”, different companies I as soon as had stable working relationships with mysteriously lower ties. Promising job leads fell off the map. Even the freelance scene started to really feel overseas, full of unrealistically low-cost presents that screamed extra of automation than human effort. The chilly fact was plain: AI had muscled its method into my occupation, and I used to be dealing with its penalties firsthand.

There’s a way of unease that has infiltrated the world of wordsmiths recently. Whispers about AI and its speedy infiltration into our occupation dangle like an ominous cloud. But it surely’s not only a fear concerning the future — for a lot of writers, it’s already a really tangible actuality.
