SC Ventures, the innovation and ventures unit of Customary Chartered, has made a strategic funding in Algbra, a UK-based fintech that focuses on moral and sharia-compliant finance. The monetary particulars of the funding haven’t been disclosed.

Shoal, which is SC Ventures‘ sustainable finance platform, may also type a partnership with Algbra as a part of the deal.

Algbra, co-founded by Zeiad Idris and Fizel Nejabat, is reportedly the primary sharia-compliant fintech to obtain B-Corp certification and authorisation from the Monetary Conduct Authority as an Digital Cash Establishment within the UK.
